i'm trying to find people i used to know. i succumbed to some of those 'do you know this girl? she had a locker halfway down the hall next to the bio classroom, and you didn't even know her last name then, but you need to contact her again so you two can do some catching up' advertisements. sorry to the kiddies at fakeham elementary school in england, if it exists - my keen antagonism to registering with stupid websites lead me to search for 'fake' schools to assume an identity with (thus, if you ever stumble across a desiderius erasmus on a findyourclassmate.com, that might be me).

it didn't really get me anywhere, although i did find a site specifically for my high school, which i didn't register on because i hated high school. i did find out that becca hosker is engaged, joe stecher is part of a space club, akash srivastava is president of the investment club, and shaan sharma's doing something with the music scene in the twin cities.

drop me a line if i lost touch with you within the last five years or so, if your name is (in alphabetic order): sonia bobra, sarah jo hosfield (where you at these days?), megan jens, nikhil joglekar (how's the neck?), tiffany johnson, jessicah mingo (you still at bethel?), nick stang, katie weiss (are you at gustavus?). your name doesn't have to be on that list, it's more that i can't track any of those folks on the web or in university directories any longer.

this concludes another installment of the thought of the moment, brought to you by nostalgia, far too much time on google, and two years of being bitterly trapped in a lame school that hated excellence.

Success!

Nikhil found this on my old web.mit.edu version of a journal and emailed me (and said his neck is fine). Good job searching for yourself Nikhil :) Success exactly five months later. I can't believe it worked even once.

Pseudo-success!

Well, this page didn't work for Sonia, though I did find her. Apparently the University of MN allows people to keep their email addresses indefinitely, so the missive I sent Sonia awhile back was finally answered. A buddy of mine in Chicago also knew what Sonia was up to, so he gave me her phone number. And she just happens to know what Megan is doing too, so that's another friend found. Woohoo :)

Yo...

Found this page somehow...

Rico!

I guess you were searching for one of the above people? Good to hear from you, too, Mr. Andrade.
