I ran across Sixpence's Tension Is a Passing Note and found the simple, short refrain to be one of the most encouraging and creative views of suffering I've ever read: "But tension is to be loved // When it is like a passing note // To a beautiful, beautiful chord."

God, this symphony of life would be pretty boring if it were composed of only high power notes, but these tensions requiring resolution are indeed to be loved for the way they show off the beauty in Your resolutions. I'm glad down to my deepest being that all tensions are "passing notes" that will ultimately resolve into indescribable beauty for those who love You. May my own tensions pass into praise for the composer and director.
