Who knows something about digital SLR cameras and wants to teach me about which models fit beginners and where I can buy a good starter lens for relatively cheap? I know you're out there somewhere, you must be. |

what's your budget?
I just picked up a 20D, you can come over and play around with it if you want. I'm trying to figure out what kind of lenses and additional gear I'll need also.
What's your budget, and what kind of stuff do you want to take pictures of? If you want to keep it in the ballpark of 1000-1500 bucks and have a fairly flexible lens, there's a 100 dollar rebate on the Canon Digital Rebel (300D) that goes until the 31st and brings the price of the body down to around 700. Pick up a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 lens for 400 and you'll be in pretty good shape for shooting indoors and outdoors.
