This sounds entirely idiotic, but I finally beat Blaster Master (for the original NES). I used a Game Genie. I think we got it at least 15 years ago. I also beat the original Contra just for good measure. up up down down left right left right B A start. These adolescent monkeys have finally clambered off my back. Sweet, sweet freedom. I think it was really just the one I was most obsessed with beating because I couldn't. I don't recall a real favorite from that time period anymore; gaming's come a long way.
