Near to my heart, my group director writes about net neutrality, in danger now that legislation to maintain it was defeated in Senate subcommittee. The freedom of choice - to connect to Google instead of Yahoo!, Barnes and Noble instead of Amazon, or whatever competitive area of service you currently find on the web and the Internet in general - could be taken away on broadband by corporate interests. Those who are willing to pay off the broadband sector will have better service delivered to your home, but the smaller guys will have to settle with whatever dustbin service broadband companies relegate them to.

Your (American broadband) freedom to go where you want - or need - on the net is at risk.

There's a new House bill up for legislative consideration. Please let your representative know you like a freely useable Internet.
