A few things to catch in the theater, maybe.

Hanna. Saoirse Ronan as a teenage assassin. Yes.

Love, apparently based on the music of Angels and Airwaves, a band I know nothing about, and looking from a fantastic trailer like it might be Zack Snyder's version of The Fountain and Moon.

Speaking of Zack Snyder, Sucker Punch, going back to the theme of teenage warriors, this time fighting robots with samurai swords. Also dragons and biplanes.

Taking a completely different tack, Shoah is a 9.5 hour documentary coming from the position that there is ultimately no explanation for the atrocities committed against Jews over the course of World War II, and that the response of absolute, wordless horror is one not to be lost over mere historical remove. I missed its L.A. showing two weeks ago and will either have to fly to one of its few scheduled showings around the country, catch it on the internet, or await its DVD re-release.
