To celebrate Independence Day, I used a jailbreak exploit on an iPad. Having command line access is a welcome addition, as is the capacity to login remotely to the iPad and the ability to use another machine to view what's on the iPad and control input operations, including a visible mouse cursor. There are all manner of ridiculous circular possibilities for directing input from one machine to the iPad and back again.

They are different forms of independence, to be sure, but a constitutional assertion of one is no guarantee of the other. Thanks for freeing artificially restrained devices, iOS hackers.
