Frequently Asked Questions:
A: RaynDrop is one of a number of experiments in different server platforms. This particular server is configured over AOLserver 3 and PostGreSQL 7, with OpenACS 3.2.4 (now upgraded to 3.2.5). In less nerdy terms, I'm testing out software for generating web services. (This question is actually asked frequently, but I think it's really just a roundabout way of asking the next question)
A: Despite the brevity of my first name, certain people still can't seem to spell it correctly. Thus 'Rayn.' An ethernet connection is often referred to as a 'drop.' I own the computer. The computer is connected to an ethernet. Put the two together.
A: Not anymore. I guess I'm satisfied with OpenACS for now. Perhaps version 4 final will be an improvement.
