This shot comes from previews of Ron Howard's latest film, A Beautiful Mind. It's "about" John Forbes Nash, Jr., an expert in game theory from Princeton and MIT. Now, I'm no math major, but this image indicates that there's something very wrong with how intelligent Mr. Howard thinks his viewing audience is. Look at Russell Crowe's forehead. Unless there's something I don't know about game theory, I think somebody needs to relearn what the value of pi is. On another note, my theory that West Virignia doesn't actually exist apparently has been debunked by Mr. Nash's existence. He claims to be from Bluefield, West Virginia. this concludes another installment of the thought of the moment, brought to you by russell crowe's forehead, some chalk, and a window pane. |

Weblog
I started keeping a log of interesting things on a plain HTML page for awhile, for about the first trimester of 2002. I'd been thinking about it for awhile, but never got around to it until I came across this photo on a salon.com review of the movie. So the weblog came to life from that impetus, and when I got too lazy to bother updating a file over and over again, I wrote the journal app I use now.
