Dear self,

What do you think you need? Let it go. God can't help you until whatever it is you think you need is dead, cold, and buried. What you do need, He knows better than you. Same goes for what you want, mostly.

He's all you'll ever need. Build your life on that rock and worse storms won't have a chance of bringing you down. Put your hopes and dreams in that which has a solid promise behind it.

I hope you look back on this and agree. Five years, ten years, or however many you get to see from now on -- look back and realise what it took for you to understand this and why it happened. And in all things, rejoice, because you know He's behind it, and He's good -- all the time.
