My latest laptop arrived today. I was in a quandry over whether I wanted to open the package or not. I finally decided it would be a good idea to do so, since I might be able to get more for it off of eBay if I can install the extra RAM I have sitting around as well as a Linux of some flavor.

It's not so bad. I think I'd rather have a TiBook though. This little package has a DVD drive, so I've been tossing in discs with commentary on them and bringing it around. There are a couple things I picked up out of The Bourne Identity (like Chris Cooper's character eating out of a Quan's food box) and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (like, why is that guy fighting with an abacus, and why is he in every shot?).

It turned out to be pretty useful while playing sysadmin over IRC at work today. Maybe I'll keep it a little longer. I've named it OPAQUE. Impersonal, ill defined, but a useful little black box.
