Someday I'd like to be able to screenwrite like Brian Singer, director and masterful storyteller of such films as The Usual Suspects and the X-Men line; I just came back from seeing X2. It rocks. Well, if you're a fan. I suspect non-fans will find it lacking in emotional involvement just because there are too many characters. You need the comics and/or the cartoons to help with the relationships and background stories of each character on the screen, a good memory of the first film to catch some of the back references, and a strong bladder. It rocks. |
