Continuing... I'm sure they're all expecting their names and links to show, so I'll gratify that right away. I went to DC with Bryan Bilyeu in good old Rhonda the Honda, an Accord that's almost as old as I am, to hound and harass Matt Libby and visit with Joyce Lin and the Lindens as well as a cross-Cross Product/Chorollary couple I hadn't met previously. We managed to meet Sandy Zhang as an unexpected bonus. It was good fun. Matt was an excellent host despite his hounding and harassing me, and Joyce gave us a night time tour of the city. I had one particular favorite of a shot that, having failed to take it seven times, convinced me I badly need to purchase a tripod. Here it is with flash synch, far too dark; non-flash attempts are blurry. Virginia is a beautiful state. I think of Boston when I think New England, but I'd rather think of the Virginian countryside instead. We spent most of our time on the Virginia side of the Potomac River. One day I'd like to go back to DC and get all the photo-taking out of my system so I can go back and contemplate more without looking for a perfect shot. Our capital was designed to intimidate and impress. I think it still would even if I lived there and saw it every day. The Cross Products alumni sharerd lunch before we departed for Boston on a beautifully chilly Sunday afternoon (amazingly enough, almost all of these photos are nigh unflattering): And just barely more photos. |

HuH?
i am confused about the hounding and harassing. you claim to have visited in order to perpetrate "H&H" on myself, and yet you were the one who was H&Hed in the end (see paragraph #2 of your journal entry).
ah, i get it... it's just like the giving of gifts (where you give in order to bless someone, and yet you find that you're the one who walks away blessed; or, as bcblue would laboriously put it, "blesst"). now i'm in the mood for Christmas, and i just know this is going to be the best Christmas _ever_.

It's called pl...
It's called planning trips while unemployed and then starting a job right before the trip occurs. Aren't you the one who went to Disneyworld for "work?"
