Ryan's Journal

After eight hours of packing, unpacking, and running around the greater Boston area, we're just about moved in. Thank God that's over and that it all went smoothly. When you're going against a deadline, the little things that don't happen become more obvious. A house was on fire (sending out a sweet barbecue smell and smoke for blocks) very close to one of our move-away from locales, and the street blockades ended but one street away from the one we needed to be on. Despite not having any dollies, we managed to find a couple unused shopping carts nearby (at the Star Market right next door - oh yes) to move things more effectively. And most importantly, everybody came out unharmed.

There's no Internet right now, so, as a true nerd, I ran down the street to MIT to check my email before ending this entry and heading to bed.
