Toshiba Satellite, originally purchased in 1996. Never died, except briefly as the victim of iced tea; it may even still work if I put it back together. Interesting note for eight pound laptops of the mid-90's: space was not much of a premium. It's cavernous inside; the background element which appears to be a protective cover? Covered nothing. It existed to fill a gap in the outer shell, using one face.

The raw materials are likely now worth more than the fact that it was a functioning computer. Also, consider used computer keys as Scrabble tiles.
