I guess journal-worthy things arrive in bursts. In chronological order, then. I've found domestic activities to occupy my time. Since I finally bought ghetto plastic furniture, aside from the wood bookshelf, I can unpack and tidy up my room. We're also cleaning up our apartment and getting rid of the past ten tenants' excess junk that never followed the original owners out. So it's my duty to clean the kitchen. Which also has about ten tenants' worth of grime about it. I'm sure somebody out there sympathizes with me.

It took three hours to wipe down and clean out the fridge, inside and out. I don't think anyone dusted the top since the thing was installed. I attempted to move on to the microwave, but I feel it might be more productive for me to buy a new one. Other than that, it's the stove, the floor, and cleaning out and organizing our multiple shelves.

In the middle of all that cleaning, I got a call from my sister about my grandmother in Toronto. She's had a stroke and isn't expected to recover. As soon as one of our family members arrives, they'll discuss but probably turn off the life support. I never got to mentioning how funny it was that Cze's grandmother and aunt live in the same apartment complex as my grandmother and aunt, something I found out less than a couple weeks ago. And now I kind of wish I'd stopped by to say hello then since it looks like I won't get to say goodbye now.

I don't find death very sorrowful no matter who it is. I've lost two grandparents -- now three -- an aunt, and a friend. Some grace given me, perhaps. Or maybe I'm emotionally retarded in that area. But there's no need for me to move on since life goes on anyways.

I guess I'll leave off the sermon notes for another time.
