Not everything's a photo op. I'll have to go back to West Virginia some day. While I've joined in at times on the West Virginia comedy goldmine, I wonder now if that alien rural nature is just something they perpetuate to keep the rest of us away from their gem of a state. Or maybe it's both.

I didn't run into any strip mining there, though one stretch of road was dominated by coal trucks moving cargo between one turnoff and another. I'd like to check out both - gaping scars on the landscape and the pristine form.
